Hello Dear ,

          I think You may feel Happy When Your adsense account is aaproved but it will Cause the Drastical Decrease of site trafficBecause of the following reason . 

                 Generally a site will Have the Internal and External Site traffic . 

                             Internal site traffic refers to the How much time that an user will spend at your site which can be Attained by Showing Related links / Content that is seached by the visitor . But when we Use adsense the Google servers will show the ads related to your Content and takes your visitor away from your Site /Blog /Content . 

                                External site traffic will Come from Search Engines and Referels . This will be less when Your site loading speed is less while fetching the ads  and user may be inconvinient and leave your site.

My tips to OVer COME these problems : 

•        Less Number of ads in a page as least as 1 and maximum of 2 will serve you better in the case of  site loading & Chance of less Deviation of traffic
  
•        Eliminate "MASALA Ads" which makes the Visitor to deviate from the main Content
•        Make Internals links In YOur page / Blog Post  which leads the User to the Related Content which the User is Currently Searching . For Example : If Topic Is "IDEA 3G In KAVALI " show links for IDEA, 3G , KAVALI as "IDEA  3G  in KAVALI"
•           Also Show the Related Content At the Bottom of the post .   For Example  : If Topic is "IDEA 3G in Kavali " then Show the related topics like     "3G in KAVALI" , "IDEA 3G NET PACKS" ,"BSNL 3G In KAVALI" ,"IDEA 2G" etc.,
